Been a while since my last update, but what else is new...actually quite a few things are new.

Let's start by the basics: I moved back to Unicorn since I didn't have enough time for a HNM Shell anymore and because I wanted to spend more time in game with my old Unicorn friends...which worked out quite nicely so far.

Anyways, I've had no school for the past 2 weeks so I actually had time for once to play FF again...which was actually quite interesting, lol.

But let's start with things that still happened on Bismarck...well actually one thing happened which was this:



After that I lent Joe my account so he could make money for his Ores since I wasn't playing much. Which is why he also turned them in (after forgetting about it twice ^-^) hence the different quality of the image.



Ok, let's just imagine a few weeks passed and I'm on Unicorn playing again actively, shall we?

For some reason RMTs have not camped Padfoot at all the last 2 or 3 weeks which has made it possible for me to see this



or a variation of it quite often in the last 2 weeks...which has umm...let's say, a rather big influence on my purchasing power and the sales history of Astral Earrings, see for yourself:



With this money I've bought coins for a Boxer's Mantle (of course I forgot to screen it when I obtained it...) and bought myself a Peacock Charm (with some help from Ghall, but ok).

I also spent some time in my favourite place of the world...the Boyahda Tree to skill up:



Only missing Marksmanship (89) and Parrying (194) now...

On to the next thing, the coolest thing of this update. So, in order to make it more dramatic, it's time for a story:

Once upon a time on a server called Bismarck, two guys were farming (hi Joe ^-^) Despot and Diorites until they had gotten a pop set for Byakko since one of the two was a gimp without Byakko's Haidate. However, after a while the gimp decided to switch servers and landed in a land populated by Unicorns...after asking several LSs to merc his pop item he came home one night at 2AM (it was actually 3AM since the clock had been advanced by one hour), checking how crowded sky was and asking a random person if they were doing gods. Turned out this random person was a sky LS leader who agreed to merc the Kitty under the condition of them keeping synth mats, abjurations and the seal. The gimp was happy about this deal and went up to the island, only 1 hour later they popped the kitty and wiped to it because PLD/WAR is the way to go in 2008, especially with Adaman Cuirass and all that. For some odd reason the leader gave the gimp one of their popsets, said sorry and said that it was their fault since their tank PT leader was afk the whole fight. Of course the gimp didn't refuse and just as this happened another sky LS came up to the island who had a few familiar faces in it. The gimp decided to semi-afk and wait a bit, as karma wants it, he gets a random tell by one of the LS members which results in a conversation and an agreement to have his pop set merced...after the LS did their 2 kitties without a pants drop the gimp was somewhat scared but...

Hi! It's been...a long time since my last update and I kinda felt like writing something random into my LJ today. (yeah, I'm drunk, whatever >.>)

First off, let's start with some random things:

During some Aspid camp a member of Benediction (Japanese rival LS) did a rare /random:



Then there was this Dynamis-Beaucedine where something happened that I have NEVER seen in my now almost 2 year Dynamis experience:



Please note that this is not photoshopped and that it all dropped of one single mob...quite impressive.

Anyways, I also recently finished all 50 assaults (and shortly after helped Whimsic with his), with the King-dude-on-a-chair-Assault being the last one I had to clear. I ended up solo tanking it on RDM/NIN and getting us the win, yay!



Free runic portals and so on for the fuckin' win! With these free runic portals (wow I rock at transitions today) I was able to attend Einherjar twice a week without worrying about Imperial Standing. Only today we FINALLY cleared our last Wing 3 chamber and we were all rewarded with this key item:



Not only did today's Einherjar grant me access to Odin's Chamber, it also put me at 15000 Ampoules which I traded in for this:



Highest MND cape in the game ftw! :D Then there was this Cerberus that made me very happy since:



Please note that I had to get my Mantle synthed by a complete stranger since our local Leathercrafter Elfzombie is too much of a dickhole to craft stuff for other people (fake d/cing while being traded the synth mats ftw).

I also started doing a lot of stuff with Whimsic recently (duo) like helping him with camping Voluptuous Vivian, farming Upper Delkfutt's Tower NMs, farming sky, and so on. Just a few of our results so far:

BIG congratulations to her!! She's now leveling BLU, so expect her to get Maat's Cap +1 in a few months (first one to tell me "omg u newb dat duznt egsist", gets a free kick in the nuts)!

Then there is my, after almost 2 and a half years, very close friend Luc(iferu), who after quite some time managed to finish his relic, HUUUUUUGE CONGRATULATIONS to him!

It's been yet another month since I updated...mainly because this time there was nothing worth reporting, quantity-wise...but oh boy the quality of today's entry still gives me a boner. (Not even joking)

First off...this:



Which resulted in ... nothing, since I just lotted to see what I would get. That Ridill went to Erde :) I don't even want Ridill...I mean, Ridill on SAM, wtf?

Then something which I haven't seen before, in all those numerous Xarcabard runs I've done...



Let's move on to the real stuff; not too long ago I decided to sell off some Melee equipment since I use it like every full moon. I bought myself a second Macuahuitl +1 for my RDM Tank setup, Cursed Mask, Apollo's/Jupiter's/Neptune's Staff and 3 other cursed pieces which resulted in this:



Then there was this little Dynamis-Valkurm run which almost made me cum my pants twice in a row. It started with a normal run as usual and once we got to the cactuars something dropped...I won lot against 2 other RDMs and got this:

If you're wondering why I'm not using Errant Houppelande: even though it's a nice enmity- piece I'll sell it as soon as I get my hands on a W.Body.

Fast Cast gear for Stun recast, 217 Dark Magic skill which unlocks highest Bio II tier RDM can get, so 6 DMG/tick. Could use my Glamor Jupon, get Dark Earring and Merciful Cape...but overall all that won't do much, since next Bio II tier is at 269 skill. Obvious improvements: Jupiter's staff and AF+1 Head, I guess.


Resting gear

I use two different sets for MND based Enfeebles, it's probably not necessary and the benefits are marginal, but I've always done it, so I'll stick to it. For Silence I use as much Enfeebling skill as possible, so I prefer Wise Braconi +1 over Mahatma Slops. Puts me at 1066 HP and 794 MP, gives +33 MND, puts me at 332 Enfeebling Magic Skill along with +3 Magic ACC. Since I'm missing the two main pieces that make the difference this set is pretty useless, but once I get Nashira Seraweels and Altruistic Cape this will make more sense.


MND Enfeebling potency gear

Communion Earring and Morrigan's gear, but not interested in Salvage and no space for Earring.


INT Enfeebling skill gear

Conclusion

This was the longest LJ I've ever written and I'm happy. Even though my RDM could be a bit better I think that (at least gearwise, lol) I don't have to hide. But this is mostly the case since I moved to Bismarck and got stuff like Dalm and Chapeau which, in my oppinion require the owner to be at least above average, which a jumpy someone incited me to do...so I ditched most of my previous MP gear for more MND gear and bought HQ staves here, HQ equips there and so on. The melee and tank setups will be added when I'm in the mood since they're not all that great and not quite done yet. Hope you at least somewhat enjoyed the read. See you soon~

Again it's been a while since I've updated but mainly because nothing major happened. Some small goodies which made me quite happy though. Let's start with this:

Then, some night we headed up to sky to pop a few gods out of fun/boredom and I managed to snag this:



Then we did a Dynamis-Buburimu and I was the only one going for RDM Belt and guess what...



6/6. Yay :D After I got that belt I changed a few of my sets and bought some gear but I'll get into that later.

I also reformed an assault static which made this possible:



6 assaults away from completing all 50 and getting Captain rank ; ; Also cleared ToAU and picked Ulthalam's ring but no pic >.>

Remember the MB contest I mentionned in a previous update? Well....I won.



Then not too long ago a close friend got lucky on another server...(well diserved) and now looks like THIS:

While being on topic: grats also to Whimsic on his Morrigan's Slops and Herald's Gaiters :D:D:D One step closer to "finishing" BLM.

Then there's something that can barely be said in words, but I'll try. 3 months ago we started gathering coins for Jhun's Aegis and oh wonder...look what we got :D



HUGE grats to Jhun on finishing his relic and getting shadow ring the same thereby finishing his PLD, I guess. :D

HNM wise we've been dominating as always, I guess. And managed to get 3 (read three) Defending Rings out of 6 (read six) King Behemoth kills...grats to Thalia, Jeminii and last but not least Wotasu on their bling blings!!!

Since I haven't updated in ages I thought that I'll post my RDM sets too, so look forward to a huuuuge post in the following days.

Yet another month without updates but therefor this time...it's showtime :D

Let's start off with something completely random.



Little explanation: this was during a Dynamis-Beaucedine run, where we had to drop the glass to re-enter since the dragons that come with the Mega Boss are a pain in the ass to kill. Now, whereas this sentence isn't really anything special you should know that this comes from someone who has 5/5 WHM AF² and has around 8 months of Dynamis experience...GG.


Next up is a little personal competition I'm having with...myself. (mhm) I love landing MBs on Fafhogg and I always try to top my last MB. Here is my highest on Nid:



Whereas from a BLM point of view REALLY weak...I like it and it always make baby panda happy.


As you probably guessed, FoReal does Einherjar too and we managed to clear the whole first Wing 1 and 2 out of 3 chambers of Wing 2. We always got jack shit from the chests except that one time where...just see for yourself:



Funny story about this: when Jhun told two people to lot it, they both said "No thanks" since essentially P.Head (HAHAAHAHA Pee Head...sorry) is garbage. Jeminii ended up lotting it anyways and now we're all waiting for him to uncurse it, which is quite an ordeal since you need an synth material that is only obtained with Einherjar points, bla bla bla...I'll keep you updated.


Let's get to the loot...let's start with some "not so cool" stuff:



Got these when I helped Luci and Rupi with their MNK AF in Castle Oztroja...NM was up and unclaimed so I killed it and went 1/1...ended up selling the Necklace to the NPC. º~º)



Nothing to say. Gilfinder > everything else in this whole game.



Got this and Wyrm Beard (which I forgot to screen) on the same day for my MNK20...both auto-dropped by the way.


Onto the more interesting stuff, after numerous Dynamis-Xarcabard runs (about 40 or so?) this is the first time I saw this piece of gear drop off the corresponding NM. And it landed in my inventory with a nice 900ish lot *'-')



Only a week or so after that we did Dynamis-Beaucedine and luck was with me:



Only one lotting it, and thus making me [blingy text]FIVE OUT OF FIVE[/blingy text]!!!

~WARNING: Wall of text incoming~

So as most likely everyone reading this knows by now, I moved to Bismarck. The decision itself, even though taken rather swiftly, was really hard since I lost A LOT of people I learned to appreciate over the course of 2 years I played on Unicorn. I try my best to keep in touch with all of those people via MSN or via my mule on Unicorn but still I notice that things aren't the same anymore, obviously :(

But I'll just continue reporting from here on, every once in a while when I feel like it. Since today I feel a lot like it I'll start:

When Fortune moved server we got a nice welcome party from the members of Unreal, Bismarck's biggest HNM shell, and we merged to form FoReal (yeah yeah...the name isn't all THAT great but the result is). We count approximately 55 members coming from a bit all over the world, mostly European/Kuwaiti people, so all events are in EU times, basically.

We've been doing all kinds of different stuff, like getting 1 Omega pop set in one run by splitting us into 4 groups, Dynamis with 50+ pimped out people etc. It's been a really cool experience. Also camping HNMs with 2 alliances, lol.

All this has netted us stuff like 2 Novio Earrings, 1 Novia Earring, W.Body, M.Body, 2 A.Body, 3 Ridills, etc.

I've also gotten lucky on a few things and have obtained some nice items.

Shortly after migrating we went for a DM run, we manaburned it down quite easily and now my NIN is finally a big step closer to being done:

After a noob LS claimed KB and wiped to him we took over and I managed to snag one of these, since no one really needed it anymore:

And, of course, I saved the best for last...after going out to the japanese restaurant with family and friends I came home quite drunk and learned that Nid had popped in my absence netting us an A.Body for Drecan. Kinda let down I went to bed for 4 hours to wake up for Aspid, we claim, kill easily and get rewarded with W. and A.Body... :D



All that in a bit less than a month... Quite impressive :x

Came home from school, check MSN shortly before eating and I see that we have gotten KB, first window, with only 8 people. So I ran as fast as I could to BD (as SAM actually :x) and had time to do 2 WS (one of them was SA-Gekko for 1300 '-';) before it netted us this:

Went on to camp VoS and DA but no luck. Before going to bed (I had to get up at 6:20AM to write a test I had missed -_-;) I went to check on Cerb and he was up, quickly killed him with only 2 GoH going through, nothing major again.

Came home to camp Behe and he popped fairly early...someone from SP claimed and wabo stole it. Fun times.

Headed to WG and got my pearl :D Then headed to Turtle who popped early too (NQ), Tactics got.

Went on to DA and camped Dragon...was being gay and popped fairly late, but we claimed (200th Fafnir :D) and got rewarded with this:

Continued to do Salvage, my first run ever, and kinda enjoyed it...apparently we did the gayest zone there is in Salvage so meh. Went to bed at 2AM D:

Today I helped Sephi and Rikku with BLU spells as soon as I got home and boy...Taurus mobs are bitches when you want to check out forums during....................Mortal Ray ftl. Then quickly headed out to do the Assault rank up quest to get this:



Went to Jeuno and had pretty...good drops I guess, no 100 coin though.



Shortly before going to bed I saw a shout that made me laugh HARD.

Yesterday was an update that fixed some stuff and added some new stuff, nothing phenomenal though. I went to camp Faf after maintenance and aggroed a.........Darter?

Now this might sound completely impossible since they don't aggro...at least that's what I thought. I was standing around reading forums and when I tabbed back to FFXI 2 Flies were hitting me...Without doing ANYTHING, they were even white. As far as I can judge it, the same thing happened to some other people in the pit. So no clue if that's a common glitch or they just like me that much...

Did the usual lurking on FFXI today as so often. Then headed off to the Marilyn Manson concert here in Luxembourg, was an awesome concert, even though I was slightly disappointed my him being so "tame". No shock moments nothing...very good performance though.

Yesterday was definetely one of the more busy and fun days I've had in a while. Started off with Dynamis-Beaucedine with definetely cool AF² drops and a 100 Shell :3



Then headed out to do Einherjar which we won :3 (I even had killshot on NM :D)...lame drops but still a fun experience. We were also the first non-JP shell on Unicorn to beat it, I believe :D

Anyways...went on to do 3 Jailer of Justice which, unexpectedly, netted me this:

Today I logged on and afked to play FF12, at some time I got a tell asking me if I wanted to help with Cerberus, which I did.



Killed him in...I don't know what time, but no big issues nothing, 2 GoH went through but nothing devastating. Was a new experience to see a 100% solid tank PT. ^^

After that the maintenance started and I afked some more to play FF12.
